Had a good meal in this restaurant located in the Arlo hotel. Started with the Pumpkin Dinner Roll and the Foie Gras & Truffle Terrine - both excellent and for had the Long Island Duck for the entree which was solid. Very friendly service though they were very busy including having a large group which slowed down dinner a bit.

Good place to stay at the Hotel and eat at restaurants specially for breakfast and brunch. We book our room and added the breakfast vouchers for all 3 day we stay here. Out of the 3 visits to the restaurant Joana was the best server over all. Patient and very helpful when we as for assistance trying to figure out where to go.

I came here for dinner with no reservation on a Thursday night and was seated immediately. I loved the ambiance. Very chic, dimly lit and great music playing at a reasonable volume. Our waitress was pleasant and very knowledgable of the menu. For cocktails were ordered the prickly pear, citrus air, eucalyptus & yuzu and red beets. We loved them all except for the red beets. I'm planning to go back just for the eucalyptus drink. We also ordered the duck, dinner roll, hanger steak with mashed potatoes and the brownie for dessert. Everything was delicious! The portions are on the lighter side, though.

We booked this spot for a birthday brunch. We were a large party of about 15 people. The highlight was definitely the service -- Junior was incredible. He was impeccable from start to finish. Not only was he warm, gracious and accommodating, he also ensured every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. We would come back just for the service. Thank you Junior!! The food was also delicious, there were many options to choose from. Highly recommend Altair for brunch!

Came here for a late dinner and was not disappointed. I love the ambiance and decor. The service was friendly and attentive. I tried the prickly pear cocktail and it was very good and the glass was lined with a piece of pear flavored fruit leather which was cool. The attention to detail 10/10. We started with the apple and endive salad and delicate squash. Both were so flavorful and light I would honestly come back just for those. I got the steak as an entree and it was decent. My mom loved the Long island Duck and my nieces mushroom raviolis were also very good. Of course it's manhattan so it was somewhat pricey but worth it in my opinion. Everything was spectacular and I would highly recommend to dine here if you're staying at the Arlo hotel or are in the area

We booked at the restaurant for a company's night out. This place is right at the lobby of a hotel. The restaurant was bright and had very nice decorations. We originally came here for the happy hour but the happy hour is at the bar which is separate from the restaurant. We moved to the bar for the happy hour and got a few drinks, pizza and fries. There's not much selections for happy hour. We then decided to stay for dinner and we moved back to the restaurant. The staff was very accommodating. We were a party of 10 and they were able to make room for us at the bar and were able to give our table back when we decided to stay for dinner. Food was pretty good. Cocktail - was okay. It was kinda watered down Bread - amazing. Soft and delicious with the butter. Steak - a little on the chewy side but it was still good. (I like it medium rare) Octopus - nice and tender but it was really salty Sea bass - it was light and crispy. Had great flavors but the fish was very thin and was not very filling. Also it came with a face which didn't look so nice. Gnocchi - was a little on the bland side. Desserts were also good but the best was the castella cake.
